Why is Social Media vital to your Business? Greetings, when do the creative juices flow, could it be at 4am in the morning when you are laying in bed and your hubby is having a fit because after updating his i-phone to his PC computer and all of his information has been lost and his phone is not working, BOOM no sleep for the tired one. I never thought I would be a person to start a blog, but I realize that I have a lot to share. Topic today: Why is Social Media so vital to the growth of your business? It is important because that is were 80% of your targeted demographic is. According to the Nielsen Company, “Americans spend nearly a quarter of their time online on social networking sites and blogs, up from 15.8 percent just a year ago (43 percent increase). The research revealed that Americans spend a third their online time (36 percent) communicating and networking across social networks, blogs, personal email and instant messaging.” This is why many businesses try to communicate as often as they can with their consumer base with the likes of direct messaging through Instagram and other social platforms, using either the browser versions or a third-party application such as ig dm or others.
Social Media is time consuming and many of you do not have the man hours that are required to optimize your business online, so what do you do? Well you can make the time to do this yourself or you can hire someone to do this for you. Investing in optimizing your presence through social media could increase your business by 30% would that spark your interest. Having an increased presence on social media platforms like Instagram can ensure that your business grows at a quicker rate. The more you post and the creativity of the content is something that you would need to think about when thinking about getting a higher following. Some people may decide that they would rather get free instagram followers by using a site like Socialfollow if they are unable to invest the time and attention into increasing your business using these platforms. It’s not just growing your following that can help to increase your business. Would it be as simple as starting a Facebook or Linkedin page, no it would require more creativity, create your business on every platform you can find, you can then link all these pages together by publishing them on a bio, such as your Instagram bio, Instagram bios unfortunately only allow one link in an accounts bio, as a workaround there are tools a company can use to link all the social platforms they are using, into their Instagram bio, such as bio fm.

Hopefully, social media will help your online business to find more customers and sell more products. Social media marketing is huge currently, with more and more businesses benefitting from it. Whilst it’s a popular way of marketing currently, there are so many other ways of growing your business online. If you’ve got an e-commerce business, you’ll probably know how difficult it is to get customers over to your store. Is the Passion gone?

It is interesting I have been in sales for over 20 years and every time I have taken a vacation I still seem to be in work mode while on vacation. I believe it is because when you are in sales you live and breathe it and it is very hard to turn it off, you are completely passionate about what you do and motivated to make money. This time I was completely removed from my job and I realized that my passion for my job might be dying and changes may need to be made on my end; or my company will need to make some changes to restore my passion. Can it be done, maybe, it is up to them or is it up to me to restore my passion?

Is the Passion gone?

How important is having passion vital to your success? Whether it be your personal life or your business life Passion is absolutely vital to your success. In a situation seeing your passion disappear a little everyday it may cost a company thousands of dollars in revenue, if the passion has disappeared from your relationship this may cost your marriage and ultimately cost you thousands of dollars in divorce. Being a salesperson and having passion for the product or service that you are selling is very important because your buyers feed off of your excitement and your passion for what you are trying to sell them. Today I was talking to a friend who is a Real Estate Broker and we discussed how a broker was granted an exclusive on a home that he secretly does not like; now all of the other brokers in the company love this home but the homeowners have decided to give him the exclusive listing. The homeowners are not aware that this broker does not like their home, how long do you think this house will be on the market? The broker is not passionate about this home and therefore he may not present it as passionately as say another broker who loves the home. There again is that word Passion….If you have a sales person who is very passionate about the products and services they are selling, this will not even seem like a job to them; they will live and breathe for this job and ultimately be extremely successful which will result in an increase in revenue for the business. So how does a company keep their salespeople passionate? Very simple they provide the necessary tools they need to do the job completely, they provide a good product or service and stand by their word, they offer incentives to their staff, they treat their sales team with respect and integrity and most importantly they pay their sales team what they are valued. If you have a good salesperson you hold on to them and try not to let them go. A good Salesperson is like an old bottle of wine it needs to be handled delicately.

What about the passion in your relationship, the same rules apply, well minus paying them money. Well I could be persuaded to show more passion if money was involved…..hmmmmmmmmmmmm
