Hamptons Happenings: Spend a weekend in the Hamptons this Winter…escape to the country. The Hamptons is only a 1 hour drive from many areas in Suffolk, and about a 2 hour drive from NYC, New Jersey and some areas in Connecticut. When I lived in NYC I loved getting away from the loud noise and hustle of the everyday life for a weekend. Spending time in the Hamptons, if for only 2 days felt like a week vacation and I returned back to Brooklyn feeling rested.
