Dining out in the Hamptons can be Affordable…..Greetings Hamptons Mouthpiece readers, when many people think of the Hamptons, they think it is only a summer resort area where the rich and famous hangout for the summer..They come to go to the beach, dine out at the hundreds of restaurants, party and attend over-priced events… I had several people ask me this summer “people actually live here year-round”, I looked at them puzzled..why would you think people don’t live here year-round. Even before I moved to Sag Harbor, I have always loved the Hamptons in the Fall, for many reasons.

Nick & Toni’s offers specialty woodburning oven pizzas, film & food package, and a three-course prix fixe for the fall season. The famous woodburning oven pizzas are returning for the fall season. The pizza menu is available all night Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. A sample menu is as follows:
Pizza Menu $16
Film and Food is offered every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. A two-course dinner will be available with a United Artist/Lowes movie voucher for $30 per person. The menu will include a choice of soup, mixed greens or Caesar salad and any pizza or pasta.
The three-course prix fixe for $30 is offered every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday all night. Choose an antipasti or primi, secondi and dolci. Pizzas are not available for the prix fixe and there is a supplemental charge for the whole fish, strip steak and veal chop.

I am sure that there are many other restaurants that are having a prix fixe for the off season, I would suggest if the restaurant you want to go to is not on this list, you call them and ask them if they are offering fall specials or ww.longislandrestaurantnews.com…If you had a bad experience at a restaurant during the summer, give the restaurant a second chance you may find that you will have a better experience during the Fall…I try to avoid restaurants that are crazy crowded in the summer and I go to those restaurants in the Fall and winter because I find the service to be more relaxed, better service and the food is not rushed.
