Chase Edwards…F i n e  A r t

DSC_4978A prominent Long Island-raised gallery owner is returning to her roots in the Hamlet of Bridgehampton, New York,  under the name Chase Edwards Fine Art Galleries. Bonnie Elizabeth Edwards has returned to the area after a successful west coast career including galleries in Laguna Beach, CA, Palm Desert, CA, Maui HI, Nantucket MA., Sante Fe, NM., and Oyster Bay, NY.  Bonnie’s clients include luminaries in the art, entertainment and business world.  From paintings to sculptures to functional pieces, and photography, the gallery will present works of established and emerging new talents in the world of contemporary art. According to Bonnie, Bridgehampton is ideal for galleries. “The historic charm surrounded by the immense natural beauty of the ocean and the bay, easily accessible to a large advanced art community base, is an attractive environment for galleries.” The store hours will be 11am-7pm daily. Evening hours for strollers and events are in the works for the busy season.DSC_4980 (1)

2463 Main Street, Bridgehampton, located next door to Blow Hamptons…I have been told that you will see some of Chase Edwards art pieces in Blow Hamptons as well.

Bonnie says “I am very excited about this new journey and committed to presenting pieces that are powerful, passionate and uplifting.  I am also determined to attract more galleries and artists to the area, making it a thriving destination for art in the community and the surrounding areas.” We wish you success in your new place Bonnie.

East Hampton track team

Last year during the 3rd Annual Katy’s Courage 5k run in Sag Harbor, the weather was slightly warmer than the year before, I have no idea what this temperamental weather is going to be this year. The event is 1 week earlier in April this year.  The crowd was energetic and motivated to take part in the run. Cheeks were rosy, gloves were on but the runners were ready. The East Hampton Spring Track Team were their to support the event, members of the team were among the first to finish the race, will they be able to do it again this year?

Once again, Sag Harbor was at it’s best as the support for a worthy cause was presented and represented by EVERYONE! Thanks Katy, for inspiring us to try to match your courage, grit and indomitable spirit in fulfilling your mission to help others. We love you Katy!

Join Katy’s Parents, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, Sag Harbor Family and tons of friends for the 4th Annual 5k in Sag Harbor…you can run or walk, bring the kids, the dog, whatever suits your fancy…Hamptons MouthPiece will be out there and we hope to see you.katyrunwalk

DIRECTIONS TO THE REGISTRATION AREA:21 Water Street
Coming into Sag Harbor, go down Main Street almost to the end (the water), at the round-about, go around as if you were going to make a u-turn, but instead of a complete u-turn,  veer to the right – that’s Water Street.  Go past the Post Office, and just beyond the Beacon Restaurant on the right is an open area.  That’s where registration will take place.
Kathryn, who was known as “Katy” to family and friends, succumbed to hepatoblastoma with her family by her side. The lifelong Sag Harbor resident had battled the disease since 2009. All proceeds go directly to Katy’ s Courage Fund, set up by Katy’s Family. Katy’s Courage Fund, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to education and support for families and children through scholarships, support for counseling, and pediatric cancer research.nhb_5262

Hamptons Happenings: Spend a weekend in the Hamptons this Winterescape to the country. The Hamptons is only a 1 hour drive from many areas in Suffolk, and about a 2 hour drive from NYC, New Jersey and some areas in Connecticut. When I lived in NYC I loved getting away from the loud noise and hustle of the everyday life for a weekend. Spending time in the Hamptons, if for only 2 days felt like a week vacation and I returned back to Brooklyn feeling rested.
343There are many places that are open year-round in the Hamptons but The Southampton Inn in Southampton, NY is one of my favorite places in the Hamptons…They are open year-round with monthly specials for visitors who would like to escape and spend a winter weekend in the country. Many think that the Hamptons does not exist after Labor Day, but it does.
