It is that time of the year again in the Hamptons where all the A’Listers are seen.

15TH ANNUAL ART FOR LIFE BENEFIT @ Fairview Farms, 19 Horsemill Lane, Water Mill, NY on July 26th. I have been so blessed to attend this wonderful event every year for the last 8 years and it is an event that I look forward to attending every year. This year the event is on my birthday, I might only be attending the Red Carpet, then leaving to enjoy my birthday. DSC_1607
Last year Maxwell performed and was an absolute pleasure on the red carpet, I am curious as to who will grace us this year with their performance. I would also like to see how Danny Simmons will outdo himself with his fantastic fashion style. I loved the event at the Fairview Farms, and everyone seemed to have a great time. Rick Ross, Estelle and Maxwell were amazing.

Russell Simmons and Danny Simmons will host the 15th Annual ART FOR LIFE benefit, Saturday, July 26th in Bridgehampton. Soledad O’Brien will emcee the evening that will honor Michael R. Bloomberg, Valentino D. Carlotti, Jason Flom, Kimora Lee Simmons and Featured Artist Carrie Mae Weems for their career achievements and philanthropic work. The evening will feature a performance by Doug E. Fresh. The event’s Honorary Chair is Star Jones; and Event Chairs are Jamison Ernest, Kimberley Hatchett, Rhonda R. Launched in 2000, ART FOR LIFE is Rush Philanthropic Art Foundation’s primary fundraising event. Hamptons is cracking down on DWI this summer….The Hamptons were incredibly busy for the 4th of July weekend, and with that so were the local police and the East End DWI task force. I am told from a reliable source that the East End Local Police from Montauk to Westhampton had several sobriety check points all over. If people are caught drunk driving, they will need a dui attorney springfield il, or indeed based more locally, to help with the legal fallout. At these sobriety check points, drivers were expected to complete an ETG test and submit to a breathalyzer to determine whether unsafe levels of alcohol were present in their bloodstream. You can learn more about drug tests for alcohol by checking out some of the useful resources on the Countrywide Testing website. Police officers from Suffolk and NYS troopers were recruited to help stop intoxicated drivers in the Hamptons. Police were in unmarked vehicles and it is rumored that there may have been over 35 arrests this 4th of July weekend. I am told buses were brought in to transport the arrested, but I am not sure how accurate this is, I will get more definitive information and updates in due course.

DWI Task Force will be adding checkpoints this summer SO BEWARE! DON’T DRINK & DRIVE, IT IS NOT WORTH THE CONSEQUENCES….I have been told a DUI could cost you as much as $10,000 in the Hamptons…. The penalties vary from state to state so if you find yourself facing legal recourse for your actions behind the wheel, it may be wise to get hold of a lawyer to defend your rights. If you are going to go out for a good time and drinking is involved make sure you have a designated driver for the evening, arrange for car service, hire a designated driver or stay where you are for the night. If you are the kind of person who simply can’t stay sober then you might want to consider whether or not you may have a problem with alcoholism – there are rehab programs in place, like those of Enterhealth, to help those struggling with managing their booze intake so if you feel you could fall into this category, it might be worth looking into. Police departments across Suffolk County and the East End DWI Task Force are cracking down on drunk driving and boating and will be conducting additional checkpoints aimed at cracking down on drunken and drug impaired drivers and boaters.

I was blessed to have met my husband, he exemplifies what a dad is. He is kind, loving, a strong disciplinarian, funny, childish, and affectionate dad.
