Cablevision Advises Town that Digital Service Only is to be Provided

Cablevision has notified the Town, along with all customers, that starting in mid-August, “analog” service will be phased out entirely and that only digital service will be provided.

This means that if you have an older “analog” TV set, you will need to get a box to get Cablevision reception.

  • Cablevision customers with a newer “digital” TV set with no box will continue to receive the Broadcast Basic channels.
  • Cablevision customers with an analog or digital TV with a Cablevision box will continue to receive Broadcast Basic, Family, and above.
  • Cablevision has advised that they are offering free digital boxes to aid in the transition.

Residential Analog only customers (have no boxes): up to (2) free converter boxes for (2) years.

Residential Digital Customers (already have boxes in home): up to (3) free converter boxes for (1) year.

Broadcast Basic Medicaid Offer (proof required): up to (2) free converter boxes for (5) years.

Customers can obtain free boxes directly from Cablevision either:
